Italian striker Mateo Retegui has joined Saudi Arabian side Al Qadiriyah from Atalanta for a fee including bonuses worth €65m, making him the most expensive player of all time for an Italian player.

Retegui, 26, has signed a three-year contract with Al Qadiriyah worth €20m per season and has become the most expensive Italian player in history, overtaking Sandro Tonali. Who moved from AC Milan to Newcastle for €59m.

Retegui will replace former Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the Saudi Arabian club.
The 36-year-old Gabon international left Al-Qadsiah last week and is reportedly close to signing for French Ligue 1 club Marseille.
