In order to simplify game instructions, decrease setup time, make keyboard controls easier to use, and allow for multiple players, Jack Games Design has adopted these standard controls for games that are labeled as such. The base for these controls uses the keyboard. Games that use this standard can make use of joysticks in two ways:

1) By pressing tab, players can switch any of the player's controls to a DirectX joystick or Gamepad.
2) By using the joystick/gamepad setup software, buttons can be used to simulate keystrokes. This can be done for all players.

Up to 4 players can play on the same computer on some games. Controllers and multi-port adapters are availible at the Jack Games Store. Not all old games will necessarily use this standard. New games will be built to this standard. Please check the game's information page.
